Remediation engagements

Fix the sub-score that is holding you back.

Remediation engagements fix the specific sub-scores your AI Readiness Assessment graded lowest, for growing companies and Colorado cities and counties, each with a fixed scope and a clear definition of done.

  1. Step 1: Pick from your roadmap

The assessment ranks fixes by how fast each moves your grade. You choose which to start.

  2. Step 2: Agree a fixed scope

Each engagement has a defined scope, a definition of done, and a duration range.

  3. Step 3: Re-grade the sub-score

We check the work against the same rubric, so you can see the letter change.

Six engagements, each tied to a sub-score

Every card names the sub-scores it moves, what done means, and a typical duration range.

  • 1.2 Information architecture and findability

Information architecture reset

Fixes: Sites, libraries, and naming that grew one migration at a time, so nobody can find the current version.

Done means

  • A documented site and library structure with owners
  • Naming and metadata rules applied to the priority libraries
  • A new hire finds the current policy in under a minute

Typical duration 4 to 6 weeks

  • 1.4 Security and access control

Permissions and access review

Fixes: Broad sharing and inherited permissions that let an AI assistant surface files people should not see.

Done means

  • Sensitive libraries identified, labeled, and restricted by role
  • Everyone-can-open sharing removed or justified
  • A recurring sharing review with a named owner

Typical duration 2 to 4 weeks

  • 1.3 Data quality and governance

Records and retention alignment

Fixes: Records, retention schedules, and AI use that do not line up, so no one can say what is kept or where.

Done means

  • AI prompts, outputs, and source files mapped to your retention schedule
  • Labels and retention applied to the priority record types
  • A short procedure for searching when a records request arrives

Typical duration 3 to 5 weeks

  • 1.1 Data inventory and ownership
  • 1.2 Information architecture and findability

Migration and site build

Fixes: Documents stuck in an old system or a shared drive, with no structure ready for the volume that has to move.

Done means

  • Content inventoried, mapped, and migrated with a verified count
  • Sites and templates in place so new work lands in the right structure
  • Owners named for each site

Typical duration 4 to 10 weeks, depending on volume

  • 2.1 Strategic intent and use cases
  • 2.3 Measurement and return

AI use-case workshop

Fixes: A general wish to use AI with no named problem, owner, or measure.

Done means

  • Two or three ranked use cases, each stated with a number
  • A named owner and a measure for each
  • A sequenced plan that fits your budget cycle

Typical duration 1 to 2 weeks

  • 3.1 Staff skills and AI literacy
  • 3.3 Policy and change management

AI policy and training

Fixes: Staff already using AI tools with no acceptable-use policy and no shared understanding of the limits.

Done means

  • A one-page acceptable-use policy approved by leadership
  • One training session delivered per department
  • A named owner who keeps the policy current

Typical duration About 3 weeks

Questions about engagements

How the assessment works
Do we have to buy the assessment first?

For most engagements, yes. The scorecard is what tells us which fix matters and how we will know it is done. If you already know exactly what you need, ask on the readiness call.

Can we do the fixes ourselves or use another firm?

Yes. The roadmap is yours to keep. Each engagement lists what done means, so any team can work to it.

How are engagements priced?

Each is quoted as a fixed fee against the defined scope. The duration ranges above are typical, not promises.

What if the work is bigger than one engagement?

We sequence engagements from your roadmap so each finishes with a visible result. Large migrations and builds are scoped on their own.
